Buro Seating is a leading wholesaler of quality ergonomic seating in NZ and Australia. With over 20 years experience designing, manufacturing and wholesaling commercial seating, Buro has established a reputation for quality products and service.

Buro has offices and showrooms in Auckland, Christchurch and Brisbane. In Australia Buro seating ranges are on display in KAB Seating showrooms (Buro's exclusive Australian distributor).

Quality Products

Like you, we're about doing the job well. That's why most products in the Buro range are manufactured to conform to stringent international standards, including:
• Australia/New Zealand Standard AS/NZ 4438: 1997
• Approved Code of Practice for the use of VDUs, Dept of Labour, New Zealand
• American National Standard Institute (ANSI)
• The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA)
• Australasian Furnishing Research and Development Institute (AFRDI)
All Buro Seating chairs are manufactured in ISO 9002 accredited factories, ensuring each and every component process is thoroughly tested and guaranteed for quality and reliability.

All Buro products carry either a 6 or 10 year warranty. This includes a return to base service and replacement of faulty components. This covers manufacturing faults when the chair is used in the purpose for which it was designed and intended for. Any damage attributed to negligence is not covered under this warranty. The warranty does not cover fabric or fair wear and tear.

For additional peace of mind, some of our chairs have AFRDI Level 6 certification. These include the Metro, Aura High Back, Aura Mid Back, Verve High Back and Persona. The Australasian Furnishing Research and Development Institute is an independent not-for-profit technical organisation providing standards, testing, product certification and research for buyers and sellers of furniture. AFRDI Blue Tick certification is granted to suppliers whose products meet the required standard - in our case AS/NZS 4433:1997:2005 Height adjustable swivel chairs.

Environmental Commitment

At Buro Seating we acknowledge our responsibility to develop environmentally sustainable products and business practices, consequently we are committed to growing our range of chairs which are manufactured from recycled and/or recyclable materials. We are also in the process of implementing an environmental strategy. The main principles of this strategy are:
• To design products and processes that utilize minimal raw materials
• To design products with a minimum end of life recyclability of 95%
• To reduce, reuse and recycle waste
• To develop an understanding of legislation relating to the environment and affecting the activities of our company

In 2007, in line with this commitment, we added several chairs to our range from the HÅG collection, these chairs are between 85% and 100% recyclable.  Furthermore, all HÅG chairs are manufactured in a facility which uses 100% of its electricity derived from renewable resources.  HÅG was the first work chair manufacturer in the world to have all its products certified according to ISO 14025.
